How do I make the most out of the Accounting Students Club?

We do a little bit of both! While we don't teach traditional accounting coursework, we act as the ultimate bridge between UIC students and the corporate world.

Join our GroupMe, follow our Instagram, follow our TikTok, follow our LinkedIn, and stay tuned for all of our events! By attending events, you are considered a member.

No! We welcome all members to our events! We do have some events that require you to be a paid member, but not all of which are: Exclusive access to professional development workshops, discounted ticket prices for the annual Accounting Banquet, enrollment in attendance point raffle, access to transfer student program and coaching program, member only social and networking events, and our awesome merch!

It benefits you by providing resources and opportunities you don't get with other clubs or business degree programs. If you are interested in applying for the E-Board, it benefits you by helping you land a job!

That is absolutely fine! We understand you may be busy with classes, studying, or another club. We are also students. Being at every single event is not mandatory.

This club does not require a high level of commitment. You are free to attend events of your choice, and you will not be kicked out for not having perfect attendance.

We target accounting majors, but we are open to all majors! We have board members majoring and minoring in fields such as international business, finance, IDS, and more!

The more you put in, the more you'll get out! Show up consistently, ready to learn and with an open mind as well as professional curiosity. Build genuine connections with your peers, not just recruiters (they are your future network!). Practice self-awareness to learn your strengths, get honest advice on navigating UIC's accounting program, and figure out your ideal career path. Plus, there's always free food!
